Coach Jennifer Dutton
I have been working with swimmers of all ages for more than two decades. My coaching takes a technique-based approach and I take pride in being able to meet swimmers where they ARE rather than where they were or where they wish they were. I have great belief in the power of positive and realistic goal-based work. I have taken part in some epic solo swims of up to 70 kilometers in length, and what I have learned about the mental, physical, and emotional challenges of that type of swimming helps shape my coaching.
I am certified by WOWSA, USAS, The Red Cross, and ASCA (Level 3 Masters, Level 5 Open Water); I maintain memberships in coaching and swimming groups in order to stay up-to-date and connected with the community. My high school athletes reached (and remain at ) the highest level in Massachusetts and my adult athletes compete at the national level in the pool, in triathlon, and in open water events.
